Surgical Residency Training Program
The Surgical Residency Training Program is a major academic responsibility of the Department of Surgery, with sections of general, gastrointestinal, oncologic, pediatric, transplantation, plastic, and vascular surgery.

Surgical Clerkship
The surgical clerkship introduces medical students to a wide spectrum of surgical diseases by following patients through their initial presentation to the operating room and post-operative care, giving students the opportunity to observe the evolution and resolution of surgical disease processes.

Surgical Sub-internships
Surgical sub-internships provide a more in depth experience to students enrolled in LCME-accredited (Liasion Committee on Medical Education) schools who meet visiting student elective requirements.

Fellowship Programs
The Department of Surgery currently offers craniofacial, hand surgery, microsurgery, transplant, and vascular surgery fellowship programs.

Surgical Skills Lab
Hands-on surgical technique and procedure instruction is provided along with the opportunity for residents to learn, practice and improve on various skills in a stress-free environment.
